Phil HarrellPhil is an industry thought leader in sales and marketing with more than 20 years of experience building and leading high performance b-to-b sales teams worldwide. Phil has held executive level sales and marketing positions at both well-established companies and hyper-growth technology start ups and has proven success growing revenue from scratch to hundreds of millions of dollars.

Prior to joining SiriusDecisions, Phil was vice president of sales at HubSpot, a SaaS provider of inbound marketing and sales solutions, where he was responsible for building the mid-market and enterprise businesses. Phil also spent almost 10 years at cloud services provider Akamai Technologies, holding positions that included vice president of sales, vice president of application performance solutions, and vice president of channel sales. He was a key contributor in helping Akamai grow from a pre-revenue start up to nearly $1B in revenue by leading sales teams to consistent over performance, heading up the company’s entry into the online video streaming business and by developing the company’s application performance solutions business worldwide.

Phil began his high tech sales career at Pegasystems, a $700M provider of business management software to enterprises and also has worked as chief revenue officer at Firecracker and vice president of sales at Kaminario.

Phil has been an active angel investor for the past 15 years and serves on the boards of directors for an education non-profit called Read to A Child and Viddler, an online video company. He lives in Newton, MA with his wife and four kids and when not working can be found skiing on the slopes of Mt. Sunapee, NH during the winter or boating on Lake Sunapee in the summer.

Phil received a BA from Duke University and is a graduate of MIT Sloan’s Greater Boston Executive program.
